Another driving day, but on back roads, mostly. We started out this morning on Vashon Island, a quick ferry ride from Seattle. Having bid farewell to Andy's friends, we drove east and jumped off the highway near the Columbia River, where were took back roads across the arid sage fields of easter Washington. We arrived in Idaho after dark.
