This morning we explored Acadia National Park in Maine, then headed back to New Hampshire and made it to Saxtons River, Vermont so Suzanne could start her summer stock theater gig.
Last night we crossed the border into Canada and onto Campobello Island. We spent the morning exploring the island, but then headed north, driving up the east side of Maine until we reached New Brunswick again.
This morning we went into Bar Harbor to have breakfast, and inadvertently saw the Fourth of July parade. We drove up Cadillac Mountain, then continued up the coast to the eastern-most tip of Maine.
We had a lovely drive up the coast of Maine, finally reaching our destination: Acadia National Park. We set up camp by the seawall, and explored the park.
Today we explored Boston, mainly seeing the sights on the Freedom Trail. Later we drove up into southeastern Maine, bought a tent, and found a place to stay.
