Today we dedicate ourselves to the Grand Canyon. We started out the morning exploring the north rim of the canyon, then drove for hours through the Painted Desert and over to the south rim of the canyon in time to see the long, afternoon shadows.
We camped at Hovenweep National Monument last night and explored the ancient ruin this morning. We drove into Monument Valley, over the Glen Canyon Bridge in Arizona, then headed back into Utah and up to Bryce Canyon.
