We toured northeast New Mexico today, climbing up Capulin Volcano, exploring Cimarron Canyon and the Enchanted Circle. We ended our day camping in a narrow canyon on the Santa Clara Pueblo Reservation.
Today we watched the landscape change. Small canyons begin to form in western Oklahoma and northern Texas, and the trees begin to disappear, leaving vast grasslands. We camped at Clayton Lake located in northeast New Mexico.
