Coming from the arid Karoo, we explore the small town of Wilderness on South Africa's Garden Route, then pop over to the Winelands for a taste.

The Karoo is the arid part of South Africa beyond the coastal mountains. We stayed in Graaff-Reinet and visited Camdeboo National Park.

A drive through the Wild Coast, formerly the internationally unrecognized Republic of Transkei, a region that lags economically due to decades of neglect from the South Africa government. Now, we felt we had finally discovered Africa.

Sightseeing in Addo, South Africa, where we traveled to see the Addo Elephant National Park. After seeing the wildlife, we drove to Grahamstown to spend the night and soak int he college town atmosphere.
