Springtime in Central Park

Conservatory Garden

I wanted to capture spring “springing,” and the best place in Central Park for flowers is the Conservatory Garden. I had my macro lens—luckily the wind was calm today.

This is a panorama of twelve images. I used my 105mm prime lens to capture a wider field at greater depth.

The Ravine

The Ravine in Central Park

The Ravine in Central Park, where this lazy stream flows through the woods. This falls in the 'I can't believe this is NYC' category.

The Ravine is marked by a lazy stream called The Loch. It flows from The Pool to the Harlem Meer in the northern woods of Central Park. This photo feels as though it could be anywhere in the wilderness—not in New York City.

This is a panorama of six images taken with my 35mm prime lens. I left my wide angle lens at home today.

The supertalls, as of spring 2021. The trees this time of year are so vibrant—it almost looks like fall colors.
