Untermyer Gardens

Untermyer Gardens is just a few minutes north of New York City in Yonkers. Samuel Untermyer moved into a mansion here at the turn of the century, and hired an architect and landscape designer to build this remarkable garden. The property was inherited by the City of Yonkers in the 1940s, and has fallen in and out of disrepair. But, it’s a nice place to walk around and contemplate the world with occasional views of the Hudson.
